Will Drew Peterson's wives speak from the grave?

Drew Peterson's lawyers go to court on Wednesday for a hearing that could have a profound effect on the murder case against him.
At issue: whether the jury can consider statements two of his wives made about him to others. One of them, his ex, is dead and the other is missing and presumed dead.
Peterson, a former police sergeant from Bolingbrook, Illinois, is accused of killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio, in 2004 and remains under investigation in the October 2007 disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson.

  1. I hope that Drew Peterson is put to death or a life sentence in jail after his hearing. It is pretty strange that three of his wives are dead after he divorced them. I think most people would agree that he probably killed them. Three people don't mysteriasly go missing after all being married to the same guy. I find it very strange and really hope that he is found guitly.

  2. Drew Peterson should be put to jail for life. I would assume that the three missing wives of Drew Peterson would involve some sort of suspicion against him. They don't just go missing after having a maridal relationship with a guy like this. He is definately guilty... Nuff said.

  3. i feel like Peterson has great connections with judges and laywers since all his wives have gone missing. Usually their not that hard to misplace. most judges would rule that he was guilty after the second wife turned up dead. Just like the rest of the world i am convinced he murdered them, however, im not sure if he will get imprisoned. i wish he was in jail already.

  4. Unless his wives' statements were sworn affidavits, they are inadmissible in court according to the law. This would then be objectionable on grounds of hearsay. However, if his wives' comments were sworn statements made to the State's Attorney, Peterson has the 6th Amendment right to have those statements reviewed by the jury at trial. I despise him as much as anyone else for the crimes he has committed, but if the attorneys don't pay attention to the simplest details like this, Peterson could be set free on a technicality even if already presumed guilty by the jury.

  5. I believe that the jury should be able to consider statements by his former wives. As long as they are statements made by them, not heard by others (hearsay), they should be included as valid evidence against the defendant.

  6. Because of multiple suspicious deaths surrounding Drew Peterson, it seems that he is guilty of something, probably murder. However it is unfair to hearsay against him. It doesnt allow Peterson's attorney to question the people who supposedly made the statements. He deservs to cross examine the accuser. Unfortunately, it is a fine line because you shouldnt be allowed to kill the accuser and therefore get away with the crime.

  7. Drew Peterson should definitely go to jail for a life sentence or be given the death penalty. He has a large amount of evidence against him and I don't see how he wouldn't go to jail for at least life. It is not a coincidence that all of his wives are missing or dead. I don't see how he isn't in jail already.

  8. I don't know how Peterson literally got away with the murder of his first two wives, but he needs to be put to justice. Three wives "going missing" is no coincidence, and he needs to go to jail for life for everything he has done. No more people should have to suffer

  9. I think that the statements from his wives should be considered valid and used against him. Even though they are now missing/dead, the women still gave the statements and they haven't changed

  10. I hoep Peterson get's convicted for life. He has made a joke of the police force and it needs to stop here. The thing is he has covered his tracks very well, but hopefully the prosecution can put this scum bag behind bars.

  11. I think that their testomonies should not be about Peterson's personality. They should only be alowed to testify if their stories are facts and about events that they witnessed. I think he is guilty and hopefully their testomonies will be enough to convict him. Emily Carton

  12. I think that the issue is whether or not the courts and lawyers put any actual evidence on Peterson about his missing wives. The two statements should be taken under consideration but it is not enough proof that Peterson was involved in the killing of his wives. Statements are not enough to put a man into custity. Unless actual evidence is dug up, the case might be thrown out.

  13. I think that Peterson should be convicted. He obviously killed his wives because they are all dead or missing. His crimes are a disgrace to the police, and hopefully he goes to jail in order to pay for his crimes.

  15. It's too bad that Peterson is giving cops a bad name. I think he should be convicted, or at least have to tell his future wives the fate of his previous wives before he can marry them.

  16. We all known Peterson is guilty. He shouldbe put to death for these horrible crimes and he is an insault to policemen everywhere.

  17. It is crazy that Peterson has been able to get away with these murders. Each wife he has had been divorced from has either died or disappeared. I'm no special detective, but I'd say that Peterson has something to do with those so-called coincidences. He belongs in jail for what he has done.

  18. I think Peterson needs to be thrown in jail. How can people even for a second think that he is innocent

  19. This guy needs to be thrown in prison. What are the odds that his three ex wives were murdered. This guy must have great connections to get away with these murders. If this were anyone else, they would be thrown in prison.

  20. Just throw the guy in jail. He obviously has some sort of problem if he had four wives and two of them are presumed dead because of him.

  21. Drew Peterson is guilty. He has already killed two other women and needs to be put in jail before he kills again.

I think the wives statements should absolutely be used because their the ones who knew him best, and since it is former wives who are dead, or missing we should be looking to his previous wives for information or clues that they. Could have seen in their marriage. I think drew is guilty of murder, but he hides his evidence very well.

  23. This dude killed them for sure. Considering he is a former cop, he knows how to hide stuff pretty well. I think he killed them, no doubt!
